Miley Cyrus Records Petty 'Wildflowers' Cover for Acoustic Spotify Singles

The session also included a take on "Bad Mood" from the "Younger Now" album.
Miley Cyrus isn't done performing Tom Petty's "Wildflowers" in the wake of the American rock icon's untimely death. In fact, she's gotten so attached to the track about running off to find your bliss so much that she recorded an official version of it for her Spotify Singles session, which dropped on Tuesday (Oct. 24.)
Cyrus also recorded an acoustic version of Younger Now track "Bad Mood." Going acoustic with that particular song wasn't exactly a stretch, given that only percussion and backing vocals needed to be stripped away (and those were still present, just muted). Even with only slight changes, this new rendition allowed Cyrus' vocals to shine even more than before, and the track paired incredibly well with the Petty cover.
Previously, Cyrus joined her dad Billy Ray on The Tonight Show to cover "Wildflowers" on Oct. 6, just a few days after Petty's death. The day before, Cyrus treated The Howard Stern Show to the same cover.
