Arcade Fire Set for Third Straight No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 Chart

Arcade Fire is on course for its third consecutive No. 1 album on the 200 chart, according to industry forecasters. Sources suggest that the band’s Everything Now might earn around 95,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Aug. 3. The album -- which was released July 28 through Columbia Records -- should easily top the tally dated Aug. 19 and will likely be the only album to debut inside the top 10.
The 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the new Aug. 19-dated 200 chart is scheduled to be revealed on ’s websites on Sunday, Aug. 6.
Arcade Fire previously led the 200 with its last two efforts: Reflektor (in 2013) and The Suburbs (in 2010).
